• The big news of the week came last week (and really wasn't completely unexpected, as there had been hints of it happening for the past month): a limited four episode Malcolm in the Middle reboot is headed to Disney+. (Variety)

Peacock's Laid Premieres December 19; Jon Hamm Drama Gets Season 2 Before Series Premiere

Body count is about to take on a whole new meaning 😳 Laid arrives December 19 on Peacock. A woman finds out her former lovers are dying in unusual ways and must go back through her sex timeline to confront her past in order to move forward - Laid is a messed up rom-com where the answer to "why can't I find love, is there something wrong with me?" is a resounding "Yes. There is. The problem is definitely you." You can binge all 8 half-hour episodes on December 19 from Universal Television with creators Nahnatchka Khan and Sally Bradford McKenna and Executive Producer & Star Stephanie Hsu. Principal Cast: Stephanie Hsu, Zosia Mamet, Michael Angarano and Tommy Martinez. Apple TV+ announced an early renewal for its highly anticipated new drama, Your Friends & Neighbors, and unveiled a first look at the compelling nine-episode series from creator Jonathan Tropper (See, Warrior, Banshee) and starring and executive produced by Emmy Award winner Jon Hamm (Mad Men, Fargo). Your Friends & Neighbors will premiere globally on Apple TV+ on Friday, April 11 with two episodes, followed by one new episode weekly through Friday, May 30. After being fired in disgrace, Andrew "Coop" Cooper (Hamm), a hedge fund manager still grappling with his recent divorce, resorts to stealing from his neighbors' homes in the exceedingly affluent Vestment Village, only to discover that the secrets and affairs hidden behind those wealthy facades might be more dangerous than he ever imagined.

Alongside Hamm, the series also stars Amanda Peet, Olivia Munn, Hoon Lee, Mark Tallman, Lena Hall, Aimee Carrero, Eunice Bae, Isabel Marie Gravitt and Donovan Colan.

Family Guy's Gift of the White Guy Holiday Special; Laid Arrives December 19 on Peacock

Hulu's exclusive Family Guy holiday special "Gift of the White Guy" will premiere Monday, November 25. "Gift of the White Guy" is the second Hulu exclusive Family Guy special. The first special for Halloween "Peter, Peter, Pumpkin Cheater" is now streaming on Hulu! In the holiday special, Peter must recover Lois' Christmas brooch after gifting it away in a White Elephant exchange. Stewie changes his attitude upon learning he's on Santa's "Naughty List." Starring the voices of Seth MacFarlane, Alex Borstein, Seth Green, Mila Kunis, and Arif Zahir.

Peacock Orders Laid Starring Stephanie Hsu; BUZZR Celebrates 60th Anniversary of Let's Make a Deal

Peacock announced the straight to series order of comedy Laid, starring and executive produced by Academy Award nominee Stephanie Hsu (Everything Everywhere All at Once, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel). The series is written and executive produced by Nahnatchka Khan (Don't Trust the B in Apartment 23, Young Rock, Fresh Off the Boat) and Sally Bradford McKenna (Son of Zorn). Also executive producing are John Davis and John Fox for Davis Entertainment; Jennifer Carreras for Fierce Baby; Marieke Hardy, Kirsty Fisher, and Liz Watts for Porchlight Films; and All3Media International. The series comes from Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group, and is based on the Australian series 'Laid' created by Marieke Hardy and Kirsty Fisher, produced by Liz Watts.
