SitcomsOnline Digest: FX Sets Premiere Date for Adults; Netflix Picks Up Monopoly Themed Reality Competition Series

  • FX has set a premiere date for a new comedy called Adults. (Deadline)
  • Netflix has picked up a Monopoly themed reality competition series. (Variety)
  • It's more of a technical thing that most viewers wouldn't know or care about, but after distributing Jeopardy! and Wheel of Fortune for decades, CBS (which took over distribution rights after acquiring Paramount, which in turn had previously acquired King World) has lost distribution rights to both series to Sony (which took over production rights from Merv Griffin Enterprises years ago) following a lengthy court battle.   • Jay North, best known for his role as the titular character in the classic sitcom Dennis the Menace, has died. (AP News)
  • Bounce TV has renewed Mind Your Business. (SitcomsOnline)
