Henry Winkler

The HISTORY Channel(TM) greenlights the new nonfiction series Hazardous History with Henry Winkler, to be executive produced, hosted and narrated by Emmy Award(R) winning actor Henry Winkler (Barry, Happy Days). The eight-episode fast-paced, nostalgia-fueled series produced by A+E Factual Studios(TM) group in association with GroupM Motion Entertainment, will take viewers on a thrilling ride through America's past, uncovering the reckless and dangerous pastimes, practices and products you would never see today but were once a part of everyday Americana.

In each hour-long episode, Winkler dives into the unsupervised and often perilous activities of the past, revealing things people used to do for fun, money, or even out of boredom, that are unthinkable in today's modern world. From doctors who prescribed cigarettes and sodas laced with cocaine and lithium to radioactive toys and toxic refrigerators - this series unveils a forgotten era of America when irresponsible and hazardous products and practices were common occurrences.
