MeTV September 2023 Schedule; Cartoon Network's Tiny Toons Premieres Sept. 9

Woody Woodpecker and Friends on MeTV

MeTV has picked up the Walter Lantz library of cartoons and will be featuring them every Saturday starting September 2. MeTV presents timeless cartoon shorts, that span from 1934 to 1972, featuring the mischievous Woody and his colorful cast of friends including Chilly Willy, The Beary Family, Inspector Willoughby, Any Panda, and more. Schedule changes are: Popeye and Pals will air at 7am, followed by The Tom & Jerry Show at 7:30am and then Woody Woodpecker and Friends from 8-9am. These animated classics join Bugs Bunny & Friends (which airs Saturdays 9-10am) and The Flintstones & The Jetsons (Sundays 10am-12pm).The only other changes to MeTV in September will be Weekdays at 11pm will now be The Carol Burnett Show (instead of Carol Burnett & Friends) and on Sundays starting Sept. 10 Ed Sullivan's Rock 'n Roll Classics (instead of Best of The Ed Sullivan Show) at 10pm followed by The Carol Burnett Show (instead of Carol Burnett & Friends) at 10:30pm. Tiny Toons Looniversity

Sticking to animation news, it's the first day of school at Acme Looniversity and laughs are in session! From Amblin Television and Warner Bros. Animation, the brand-new series Tiny Toons Looniversity premieres Saturday, Sept. 9 at 9:00am ET/PT on Cartoon Network with new episodes debuting every week. Fans will also be able to stream all 10 episodes of the first season on Max beginning Sept. 8.

Rebooting the Emmy(R) Award-winning Tiny Toon Adventures for a new generation, Tiny Toons Looniversity follows Babs, Buster, and their new friends Hamton, Plucky, and Sweetie to Acme Looniversity, the premier institution of higher hijinx learning. While enrolled, they form long-lasting friendships with one another and perfect their cartoony craft while studying under the greatest cartoon characters in history, the Looney Tunes. The voice cast includes Emmy Award-winner Eric Bauza as Buster, Daffy, and Gossamer, Ashleigh Hairston as Babs, David Errigo Jr. as Hamton J. Pig and Plucky, and Tessa Netting as Sweety. The series also welcomes back Tiny Toons Looniversity alumni Jeff Bergman, Bob Bergen, Candi Milo, and Cree Summer, who reprise their roles as Bugs Bunny, Porky Pig, Dean Granny, and Elmyra, respectively. Bergman also voices Sylvester and Foghorn Leghorn, and Milo also voices Witch Hazel. Looney Tunes veteran actor Fred Tatasciore voices Taz and Yosemite Sam.
