Netflix has given more details on the upcoming Shonda Rhimes series The Residence. Who is in the cast of The Residence? Uzo Aduba was the first cast member announced for The Residence. Her character, Cordelia, is a careful observer of human behavior with an eccentric and distinct conversational style that some may consider deeply unsettling. Here's who else will join the SAG Award-winning star in The Residence:
Andre Braugher (Brooklyn Nine-Nine) as A.B. Wynter, White House chief usher. Edwina Findley (The Wire) as Sheila Cannon, White House butler. Molly Griggs (Dr. Death) as Lilly Schumacher, President Morgan's social secretary. Jason Lee (My Name Is Earl) as Tripp Morgan, President Morgan's younger brother and a bit of a screwup. Ken Marino (Party Down) as Harry Hollinger, President Morgan's oldest friend, closest advisor and most trusted confidant. Al Mitchell (Stranger Things) as Rollie Bridgewater, head butler/maƮtre d'. Dan Perrault (Strays) as Colin Trask, head of the presidential detail for the Secret Service. Bronson Pinchot (Perfect Strangers) as Didier Gotthard, White House executive pastry chef. Mary Wiseman (Star Trek: Discovery) as Marvella, White House executive chef.
In the series premiering likely in early 2024, Cordelia is drawn into White House intrigue after one catastrophic state dinner. There she finds 132 rooms, 157 suspects - and one dead body. Described in the official logline as "a screwball whodunit," The Residence explores the upstairs, downstairs and backstairs realms of the White House, shining a light on the eclectic staff of the famous presidential mansion.
