HBO Max Announces January Slate; New Campaign for 2022 Includes Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin and The Flight Attendant Season 2

HBO Max has announced its January offerings along with more on what's to come in 2022. In January, join Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, Emma Watson and other esteemed cast members and filmmakers across all eight Harry Potter films, as they travel back to Hogwarts for the first time to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the franchise's first film, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. The retrospective special Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts (1/1) will tell an enchanting making-of story through all-new in-depth interviews and cast conversations, inviting fans on a magical first-person journey through one of the most beloved film franchises of all time. New superhero series Peacemaker (1/13) explores the origins of the character that John Cena first portrayed in James Gunn's 2021 film, The Suicide Squad - a compellingly vainglorious man who believes in peace at any cost, no matter how many people he has to kill to get it.
An incredible collection of original programming arrives this January including the highly anticipated second season of HBO's Euphoria (1/9). Created, written and directed by Sam Levinson, starring Emmy(R) winner Zendaya, and produced in partnership with A24, the drama series follows 17-year-old Rue as she finds hope while balancing the pressures of love, loss, and addiction. The month also brings new drama series The Gilded Age (1/24) from Downton Abbey creator Julian Fellowes, the second season of comedy The Righteous Gemstones (1/9), the season premiere of the original comedy series Somebody Somewhere (1/16), the final season of accliaimed comedy Search Party (1/7), the season premiere of Take Out with Lisa Ling (1/27), and the season finale of Station Eleven (1/13). SXSW multiple-award-winning feature The Fallout, debuts on HBO Max in January starring Jenna Ortega, Maddie Ziegler and Niles Fitch. The film follows high schooler Vada as she navigates the emotional fallout she experiences in the wake of a school tragedy. Her relationships with her family and friends, as well as her view of the world, are forever altered.

And finally, for the rest of 2022, HBO Max released a new campaign introducing the streamer's unprecedented line-up for 2022, featuring highly anticipated original programming, Warner Bros. films made exclusively for HBO Max, new content from beloved DC and Wizarding World franchises, hit movies, and more. Following a year marked by groundbreaking hits, the spot signifies HBO Max's continued commitment to deliver audiences fresh and imaginative content, featuring bold, iconic characters from the world's best creators - all in one place. Among the exciting line-up are new HBO Originals in the line-up include Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty, a fast-break series chronicling the professional and personal lives of the 1980s Los Angeles Lakers, one of sports' most revered and dominant dynasties and House of the Dragon, telling the story of House Targaryen 200 years before the events of Game of Thrones. Viewers can also spot never-before-seen footage from anticipated titles including new Max Original series Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin, Julia, Love & Death and new HBO Originals The Time Traveler's Wife, The White House Plumbers and We Own This City.
First looks are also included from acclaimed returning HBO Originals Westworld, His Dark Materials and The Nevers, and Max Originals The Flight Attendant and Raised by Wolves. Additionally, the spot introduces Warner Bros. Streaming Exclusives, a collaboration that includes a number of films made exclusively for HBO Max. House Party, Father of The Bride, Kimi, The Fallout, Scoob: Holiday Haunt and Moonshot are among the films set to debut throughout 2022.
