SitcomsOnline Digest: South Park to Stick Around Until At Least 2027; Neil Patrick Harris Set to Star in Netflix Comedy

  • South Park isn't going anywhere anytime soon, as the creators signed a deal that will keep it on Comedy Central through 2027 and bring several movies to Paramount+. (CNN) 
  • Neil Patrick Harris is returning to comedy with a Netflix series from Darren Star. (Deadline) 
  • NBC's The Ultimate Slip N' Slide competition series was stopped during production by an explosive diarrhea outbreak (literally), and now, it has been completely scrapped and will not be airing at all. (Deadline)
  • Jeopardy! reportedly has found a new host, but some fans are underwhelmed (or even outraged) by the choice. (NY Post)
  • We still don't know how the cast for the next season of Saturday Night Live will look, but it seems that longtime cast members having other series that they're working on won't be a deterrent as it had been in the past. (Variety)
  • Fall lineups for Antenna TV and their upcoming sister network Rewind TV are now out, although for now, it's mostly the same programs we've been seeing on the networks in a new arrangement. (SitcomsOnline)
