New Year's Eve 2018 and New Year's Day 2019 TV Marathons
Welcome to a special New Year's style edition of the News Blog! As we end 2018 and start 2019, today we will give you a marathon recap on TV for New Year's Eve and New Year's Day! Some of the major TV stunts include Antenna TV's The Paul Lynde Show Year's Eve Marathon on New Year's Eve from from 6pm-3:30am and once again a New Year Kick-off with Coach marathon on New Year's Day from 5am-4am. COZI TV will have a launch marathon of The Office on New Year's Day, as we mentioned starting at 10am. Syfy has its 23rd annual Twilight Zone New Year's Eve and Day marathon that starts a day early on Sunday, Dec. 30 at 11pm continuing through Wednesday, Jan. 2 at 6am. Encore Love has a Knight Rider marathon beginning at 8pm on New Year's Eve lasting through 9pm New Year's Day. IFC will have a Batman marathon as soon as the "bat time" strikes midnight to ring in 2019! WPIX in New York will of course have their annual The Honeymooners marathon starting at 11:59pm on New Year's Eve through 4pm on New Year's Day. Also in New York City, WLNY-TV 55/10 will have a marathon of The Odd Couple once again starting at 10pm on New Year's Eve night through 9pm on New Year's Day for the seventh straight year.
TV One has a New Year's Day marathon of Sanford & Son starting at 6am. Friends gets two marathons on New Year's Eve, one on TBS from 8am-1pm then Nick at Nite from 9pm-5:30am. TV Land will go with The Goldbergs marathon on New Year's Eve from 2pm-6pm into a marathon of Two and a Half Men from 6pm-2am. TBS airs a Family Guy block on New Year's Eve from 5pm-11pm. FXX will bring us another marathon of The Simpsons that starts on New Year's Eve at 6pm and runs through New Year's Day at 11:59pm. Comedy Central ends the year with a Reno 911 marathon on New Year's Eve starting at 9am. USA Network has a Law & Order: SVU Resolve to Watch New Year's Eve and Day marathon starting at 12am on New Year's Eve. Escape launches Law & Order and Boston Legal with a New Year's Day launch. AMC goes for a marathon of The Walking Dead on New Year's Eve from 9am-5:30am. WGN America has a marathon of In the Heat of the Night from 8am-7pm. Other notable marathons on New Year's Eve includes Sex and the City on E!, Criminal Minds on both ION and WEtv, CSI: Miami on WEtv earlier in the day and Doctor Who on BBC America.
It won't be the end of the year and the start of the year without ABC's Dick Clark's Primetime New Year's Rockin' Eve With Ryan Seacrest 2019 special on New Year's Eve from 8pm-10pm, followed by its annual specials at 10pm and 11:30pm. NBC and Fox air their own New Year's Eve specials hosted by Carson Daly and Steve Harvey, respectively. Movie wise, Pop, TNT, TBS, Freeform and many others will air movies on New Year's Day, while Hallmark Channel continues to air Christmas movies on New Year's Eve.
