CMT Fall 2012 Schedule Showcases Roseanne; Cougar Town Returns January 8 on TBS
Up next on the fall schedule barrage is CMT! They will be adding Roseanne to its line-up starting Friday, Sept. 21. Roseanne's deal was set to expire at Viacom on Sept. 20, but they renewed it, so it will remain on TV Land as you know and now also will air on sister network CMT! Viacom is sharing the rights with WE tv, which starts airing the sitcom next week as well, like we mentioned. CMT will air Roseanne weekdays from 4-6pm. This means the timings will change for CMT's other sitcoms: Reba and Yes, Dear. From 2pm-4pm we now will have a block of Yes, Dear into a block of Roseanne from 4-6pm. Reba will follow from 6-9pm. That line-up will also air on a special day on Saturday, Sept. 22 as well from 2pm-9pm. It's great to see 7 hours of sitcoms now on CMT every weekday! Yes, Dear was airing 5-7pm, while Reba was airing 4-5pm and 7-9pm, but effective Sept. 21, they will be moving to the time periods mentioned.
That's really all we have for CMT as the rest of the schedule doesn't concern us. There are no sightings of Dukes of Hazzard. And if you don't know... Roseanne is the story of lower class family struggling with life's essential problems: Marriage, Children, Money and Parent's in Law. A classic sitcom, the story circles around the Connor family - a family of five (DJ, Darlene, Becky, Roseanne and Dan). The household's mother, Roseanne, is being accompanied in her quest to keep the family together by her sister Jackie and various friends over the years.
We're back! Get your red wine glass ready! Cougar Town hits TBS with brand new episodes Tuesday, January 8, 2013! The hilarious comedy is moving from ABC to TBS this season. This will be the comedy's fourth season and they will have a 15 episode season that should have it last into April. In addition, TBS has garnered the encore rights to Cougar Town's first three seasons of 61 episodes that originally aired on ABC..as of now, they are not scheduled to air through November. Perhaps the encores will start airing in December? We'll let you know.
In Cougar Town, Courteney Cox stars as Jules Cobb, a recently divorced mom struggling with the challenges and pitfalls that come with a new chapter in her life. Jules spends much of her time enjoying wine with her group of friends known as the "cul de sac crew." They include her under-achieving ex-husband, Bobby (Brian Van Holt); next-door neighbor and confidante Ellie (Christa Miller); Ellie's loveably average husband, Andy (Ian Gomez); Jules' fiancé and neighbor, Grayson (Josh Hopkins); and Jules' feisty protégé, Laurie (Busy Philipps). Meanwhile, Jules' college-student son, Travis (Dan Byrd), often proves himself more adult than anyone in the group.
