TV Land Officially Announces Bob Newhart 35th Anniversary Marathon; ION and ABC Notes

TV Land celebrates a great milestone in television history this September -- the 35th anniversary of the iconic series The Bob Newhart Show. In an on-air and online tribute kicking off on Monday, September 10, the network pays tribute to this Emmy Award-winning series that set the tone for a generation of TV shows. On air, from 8 p.m. to 12 a.m. (all times ET/PT), TV Land will showcase eight episodes personally selected by Newhart for being some of his favorites including "Blues for Mr. Borden," "Sorry Wrong Mother" and "Over The River & Through The Woods."
TVLand.com will stream all eight of these episodes online from Monday, September 10 through Sunday, September 16. Fans logging on to TVLand.com will also be able to view rarely-seen-footage of Newhart and the cast of the show as they accept "The Icon Award" at the third annual TV Land Awards as well as classic TV Land and Nick at Nite promos for the show and more.
Both tributes follow a celebration event hosted by TV Land and The Paley Center for Media (formerly The Museum of TV & Radio) in Beverly Hills on September 5.

ION Television has delayed its launch of Firebrand TV. The show was set to air weeknights at 11pm starting Sept. 24, but it will be delayed. It might be delayed just for a week. We will know when the October schedule is in, which will be soon...so come on back for that. Time Life Music, which is the show currently airing in the slot, will air instead that week at 11pm.
Firebrand TV is a first-of-its-kind multi-platform experience that gives consumers interactive access to their favorite brands, products and promotions. Firebrand programs only the best TV commercials as a reflection of pop culture in an environment rich with consumer touch points.
Moving on to some ABC notes. ABC will let viewers catch up with Sunday's two best shows on Sunday, Sept. 23. At 9pm, ABC will air the special Desperate Housewives: Secrets, Lies and Suicide. Catch up on all the juicy moments from this past season, as the fourth season will premiere Sunday, Sept. 30 at 9pm! And at 10pm they will air Brothers & Sisters: Family Album. Members of the cast reflect on their favorite moments and recap the first season of this celebrated family drama, a week before the season premiere on Sunday, Sept. 30 at 10pm.
