Scrubs Fifth Season Set To Begin on January 3rd

NBC will finally start airing Scrubs fifth season starting on Tuesday, January 3rd. They will air back-to-back episodes throughout January on Tuesdays at 9:00 and 9:30PM ET/PT. Mandy Moore and Jason Bateman will be appearing in guest spots. The 100th episode of the series, airing January 14th, will be directed by Zach Braff and feature an extended homage to The Wizard of Oz. I believe the show was renewed for a full 22-episode order last spring, so it should be shown a lot in the second half of the season. Scrubs will be shown in local syndication and on cable on WGN and Comedy Central starting in the fall of 2006. The first and second season are available on DVD and have reportedly had strong sales. When Frank and Daisy lose $5,000 in union funds, they try to win the money back by gambling; Shred and Patel cover the late-night shift at the precinct.

Going Dutch - "The Heart Locker" (Fox, 9:32PM ET/PT)
After throwing out his back, the Colonel is ordered to bed rest; the base is sent to sweep for landmines at a local farm, where Major Shah suddenly finds himself in serious danger when he steps on one.
