Scrubs Fifth Season Set To Begin on January 3rd

NBC will finally start airing Scrubs fifth season starting on Tuesday, January 3rd. They will air back-to-back episodes throughout January on Tuesdays at 9:00 and 9:30PM ET/PT. Mandy Moore and Jason Bateman will be appearing in guest spots. The 100th episode of the series, airing January 14th, will be directed by Zach Braff and feature an extended homage to The Wizard of Oz. I believe the show was renewed for a full 22-episode order last spring, so it should be shown a lot in the second half of the season. Scrubs will be shown in local syndication and on cable on WGN and Comedy Central starting in the fall of 2006. The first and second season are available on DVD and have reportedly had strong sales. Frank uncovers Emily and Shred's secret romance during a break-in at city supply; Victoria and Patel confront his daughter's school bully.

Going Dutch - "Tinker, Tailor, Colonel, Spy" (Fox, 9:30PM ET/PT)
Rick takes a sabbatical from the CIA and returns to the base, hoping to rekindle his strained relationship with Capt. Maggie; paranoia runs high when a mole is suspected to be operating inside the base.
