SitcomsOnline Digest: Last Man Standing Prepares for Casting Changes; Viacom Series Headed to Hulu

Welcome to SitcomsOnline Digest! We have a somewhat shorter version this week, as the holiday fell in the middle of the week (meaning there wasn't much news either before or after it), but we're here with some casting news from Last Man Standing, yet another update on Roseanne (the person, not the show), and more. Let's get going!

  • Last Man Standing is returning for a new season on Fox, but if you’re expecting all of the original cast to return, you might be disappointed. (Variety
  • Numerous series from Viacom cable networks are heading to Hulu. (Deadline)
  • It was hoped that Timeless, which was cancelled by NBC, would find a home elsewhere, but that hasn't happened and now there is hope that it can be wrapped up with a movie on NBC. (Deadline)
  • We wouldn't be complete unless we had some sort of update about Roseanne, and she said this week that she has received many new offers for series since being fired from her own show, although we're somewhat skeptical. (ABC News)
  • Antenna TV is making numerous changes soon, including adding What's Happening Now!! and Archie Bunker's Place to the lineup. (SitcomsOnline)

    When Amy doesn’t have time to work on super-asymmetry, Sheldon goes to great lengths to ensure she’s available to work with him even it if means accidentally sabotaging her career in the process. Also, Koothrappali doesn’t want Wolowitz to join him in hosting a show at the planetarium. Emmy Award winner Bob Newhart returns as Arthur Jeffries.

    Man with a Plan - "Hotel Hanky Panky" (CBS, 8:30PM ET/PT)
    Adam and Andi are eager to book a night away in a hotel after Teddy keeps sleeping in their bed. Also, Kate is allowed to stay home alone but doesn’t follow Adam and Andi’s strict rules.

    The Big Bang Theory - "The Imitation Perturbation" (CBS, 9:00PM ET/PT) (Repeat)
    When Wolowitz dresses up as Sheldon for Halloween, Sheldon seeks retaliation at Leonard and Penny’s Halloween party. Also, Leonard is shocked that Penny doesn’t remember their first kiss.

    The Neighborhood - "Welcome to Grover's Birthday" (CBS, 9:30PM ET/PT) (Repeat)
    When Dave and Gemma’s elaborate plans for Grover’s 7th birthday party go awry, Malcolm and Marty come to the rescue. Also, Calvin’s choice of gift winds up sending one person to the hospital.
