• The Beverly Hillbillies - The Official First Season (DVD, $29.98): CBS is going slightly backwards with this release, which brings the first season (which was previously released in an authorized, though not by CBS, release from MPI as well as numerous public domain entities) to DVD.

After putting murderous ventriloquists, bakers and painters behind bars in its first amazing season, TBS's Angie Tribeca is ready to untangle all new webs of deceit in the gripping second season. Rashida Jones, Hayes MacArthur, Jere Burns, Deon Cole, Andrée Vermeulen and Jagger the German Shepherd will be back when the powerful police drama (I mean comedy) returns Monday, June 6, exclusively on TBS, a division of Turner. TBS's first-ever police procedural (ha!), Angie Tribeca is the brainchild of Nancy and Steve Carell, who are executive-producing the series along with showrunner Ira Ungerleider. The buzz-generating hit has drawn widespread critical acclaim, with the LA Times calling it "an entertaining joyride," Vanity Fair dubbing it "absurd and very, very funny," and Entertainment Weekly saying "it never gets old."

In its first season, Angie Tribeca ranked as basic cable's #1 Monday night sitcom and reached more than 4.2 million viewers per episode across TBS's linear, VOD, digital and mobile platforms. The series launched in January with a groundbreaking 25-hour "Binge-A-Thon," generating more than 65 million impressions on social media. In addition, 36% of the Binge-A-Thon viewers were new to TBS. Angie Tribeca follows a squad of committed LAPD detectives who investigate the most serious cases. At the center is Angie Tribeca, a lone-wolf detective played by Rashida Jones. Hayes MacArthur is her partner, Jay Geils. Jere Burns plays the squad's apoplectic lieutenant. Helping solve each complex case are detective Danny Tanner, played by Deon Cole; Dr. Monica Scholls, the brilliant, bespectacled medical examiner played by Andrée Vermeulen; and detective David Hoffman, Tanner's K9 German Shepard partner played by Jagger.

In the second season, Angie and the detectives of the LAPD will investigate the murder of a sushi chef, the death of the “bad boy” in a boy band who gets decapitated by a t-shirt cannon and a band of drug-dealing lifeguards. In addition, they will tackle a difficult case with the help of a romance novelist. As in its first season, Angie Tribeca's second season will feature a parade of recognizable guest stars, including; James Franco, Heather Graham, Mary McCormack, Noah Wyle, Maya Rudolph, Eriq La Salle, Danny Pudi, Busy Philipps, Kevin Pollak, Rhys Darby, Ed Begley Jr., Joe Jonas, Joey McIntyre and a few more special surprise guests. (Spoiler Alert: Most of them will turn out to be the perpetrators of the crimes being investigated.) In addition, Alfred Molina will continue filling the community service requirements of his probation by once again playing the recurring role of Dr. Edelweiss.

TBS, a division of Turner, has set the premiere date for Wrecked, the network's new ensemble comedy about a group of strangers stranded on a deserted island following a plane crash. The latest in TBS's growing slate of daring new comedies, Wrecked is set to take off Tuesday, June 14, at 10 p.m. (ET/PT) with back-to-back episodes. Wrecked is a single-camera comedy that centers on a diverse group of survivors adjusting to being stranded on an uninhabited island, a dangerous new world where they must face many threats – mostly brought on by themselves. No longer plugged into the rest of the world, the group struggles to navigate their makeshift society while also learning to live without such modern comforts as indoor plumbing, Wi-Fi, social media and Chipotle.

The ensemble cast for Wrecked includes Zach Cregger (About a Boy, Miss March), Rhys Darby (What We Do in the Shadows, Yes Man), Jessica Lowe (Blended, Glitch), Asif Ali (The 4 to 9ers: The Day Crew, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.), Ally Maki (2 Broke Girls, Hot in Cleveland), Will Greenberg (Cloverfield, Halt and Catch Fire), Brooke Dillman (Superbad, Bob's Burgers), Ginger Gonzaga (Ted, Mixology) and Brian Sacca (The Wolf of Wall Street, Single Dads).

FX has set the premiere dates for its summer comedy series Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll and drama Tyrant. Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll, the comedy created by and starring Denis Leary, will begin its second season on FX on Thursday, June 30 at 10 pm ET/PT. The 10-episode second season stars Leary, John Corbett, Elizabeth Gillies, Elaine Hendrix, Robert Kelly and John Ales. Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll centers on "Johnny Rock" (Leary), lead singer of a legendary early 90s New York band called The Heathens. Known for living up to their name, the band partied so long and so hard that even Keith Richards thought they needed to slow things down. The Heathens were on the brink of becoming famous for their kickass live shows and the release of their highly anticipated first album. Until they broke up. The same day the album dropped. Because lead guitarist Flash (Corbett) found Johnny in bed with his wife. So the band became legendary for all the wrong reasons - like self-destructing sooner than any group in rock-n-roll history. 25 years later, Johnny's massively talented daughter Gigi (Gillies) reunites Johnny, Flash, and the rest of their dysfunctional rock and roll family - Ava (Hendrix), Bam Bam (Kelly) and Rehab (Ales) and- to be her new backup band, The Assassins. Together they've got another shot at rock glory.

Tyrant, the drama from Emmy(R) and Golden Globe(R) Award-winning Executive Producer Howard Gordon, will return to FX for its third season on Wednesday, July 6 at 10 pm ET/PT. Tyrant is the story of an unassuming American family drawn into the inner workings of a turbulent Middle Eastern nation

ABC has announced most of its 2016 summer schedule. New series include sitcom Uncle Buck, To Tell the Truth (hosted by black-ish star Anthony Anderson) and The $100,000 Pyramid (hosted by GMA's Michael Strahan). The 2016 ESPYS return to the network line-up and returning are Bachelor in Paradise, Mistresses, Celebrity Family Feud, BattleBots and the CMA Music Festival to the previously announced The Bachelorette. TBS, a division of Turner, has another comedy hit on its hands with The Detour, which shot out of the starting gate last week to rank as cable's #1 new comedy series of the year among adults 18-49. TBS announced two weeks ago that it has already ordered a 13-episode second season of The Detour. The show marks the latest in a string of acclaimed hits launched by the network this year, a growing list that includes Angie Tribeca and Full Frontal with Samantha Bee. New episodes of The Detour premiere each Monday at 9/8c on TBS, tbs.com and the Watch TBS mobile app, with availability on TBS On Demand and TV providers' websites and apps the next day. The Detour is an often too honest look at the family dynamic and the chaos that erupts from not being truthful with the ones we love. Starring Jason Jones, Natalie Zea, Ashley Gerasimovich and Liam Carroll.

Here are some of the highlights from The Detour's early success:

The Detour is reaching an average of 5.3 million viewers across TBS platforms through its first two episodes (the April 11 premiere, which was followed immediately by the second episode).
The Detour's reach includes 1.5 million viewers and 848,000 adults 18-49 in Live + 3 delivery, the latter making it cable's top new comedy series with young adults for the year-to-date.
The Detour has drawn a large number of viewers through time-shifted viewing, with the first two episodes charting a +37% increase among adults 18-49 in Live + 3 vs. Live + Same Day.
Success for The Detour extends beyond the television screen to include exceptional digital and social media engagement. Leading up to last week's launch, the show drew 39 million social media impressions through Facebook and Twitter.
TBS also made the pilot available to watch via social media the weekend prior to show's launch, scoring a total of 8.7 million video views across Facebook, YouTube and Twitter.

Emmy-winning actress Doris Roberts, who was best known for her role as Marie Barone in Everybody Loves Raymond, has died. She died peacefully in her sleep of natural causes on April 17 in Los Angeles, California. Ms. Roberts was 90.

Roberts' early television guest appearances included Starlight Theatre, Studio One in Hollywood, Suspense, Way Out, Look Up and Live, Naked City, Ben Casey, The Defenders, Medical Center, Baretta, The Streets of San Francisco and Family. Some of her early sitcom guest appearances included Mary Tyler Moore, Fay, Joe and Sons, Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman, All in the Family, Viva Valdez, Rhoda, Soap and Barney Miller.

Her first starring role was as Theresa Falco, the mother of Angie Falco (Donna Pescow), in Angie. The series ran for two seasons on ABC from 1979-1980. It also starred Robert Hays, Debralee Scott, Sharon Spelman, John Randolph, Diane Robin, Tammy Lauren and Tim Thomerson. Roberts also directed an episode of the series in 1980.

She starred as Loretta Davenport, a hairdresser who owned Loretta's House of Coiffures, in the short-lived 1981-1982 ABC sitcom Maggie. She played Doris Greenblatt, the knowing wife of Bert Greeenblatt (Ned Beatty), in the short-lived 1993 CBS sitcom The Boys. Some of her other 1980s and early 1990s sitcom guest appearances included The Love Boat, Alice, Mr. Belvedere, Full House, Empty Nest, The John Larroquette Show, Dream On and Step by Step.

Roberts starred as Marie Barone, the beloved mother of Ray (Ray Romano) and Robert (Brad Garrett) and the wife of Frank (Peter Boyle). The popular series ran for nine seasons and 210 episodes on CBS from 1996-2005. It also starred Patricia Heaton, Madylin Sweeeten, Sawyer and Sullivan Sweeten, and Monica Horan. She was nominated for seven Emmy Awards and won four times for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series. Roberts also appeared as Marie Barone in a 1999 episode of The King of Queens.

She previously won an Emmy Award for a 1982 guest appearance on St. Elsewhere, playing a homeless woman named Cora. She starred as Mildred Krebs in Remington Steele from 1983-1987. Roberts received an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series for the role in 1985. Her other Emmy nominations were for a guest appearance in a 1989 episode of Perfect Strangers and a 1991 role in the PBS series American Playhouse.

Roberts continued to make television guest appearances after Everybody Loves Raymond ended its run. She reunited with Patricia Heaton in three episodes of The Middle in 2010-2011 as Ms. Rinsky, Brick Heck's teacher. Her later sitcom guest appearances included Lizzie McGuire, Hot in Cleveland and Melissa & Joey. Some of her drama guest appearances included Grey's Anatomy and Desperate Housewives.

The Archive of American Television conducted an extensive interview with her on April 26, 2005.

Survivors include her son Michael Cannata, daughter-in-law Jane and grandchildren Kelsey, Andrew and Devon.

Ms. Roberts was wonderful and funny in Everybody Loves Raymond. She was a real pro who made everything she appeared in much better. We thank her for the laughter she brought us. She will be deeply missed.

Another series is coming to UP TV, the network dedicated to providing engaging entertainment for and about families. They have announced that they acquired the critically acclaimed fan favorite drama series Parenthood. The 2010-15 drama will premiere this Memorial Day, Monday, May 30, with five episodes starting at 8pm EDT, before settling into UP's weekly schedule on Monday nights with three episodes from 8pm to 11pm EDT. UP licensed all six seasons and 103 episodes of the series in an agreement with NBCUniversal Television and New Media Distribution. The new series is a significant addition to UP's already robust collection of original and popular hit family series, which includes Bringing Up Bates, Gilmore Girls, Supernanny, Family Ties, Growing Pains, 7th Heaven, Sister Sister, The Parkers, and the network's recently announced off-network rights to America’s Funniest Home Videos.

Parenthood is the story of the Bravermans – Sarah (Lauren Graham, Gilmore Girls), Adam (Peter Krause, The Catch), Crosby (Dax Shepard, CHiPS) and Julia (Erika Christensen, Wicked City) – four grown siblings sharing the headaches, heartaches and unexpected joys of being a parent. From Academy Award-winning executive producers Ron Howard and Brian Grazer, and writer/executive producer Jason Katims, comes this contemporary re-imagining of the international hit feature film. Focusing on the everyday challenges that modern families face while raising children and starting over, “Parenthood” grounds its drama and its comedy in the celebration of the beautiful mess of life. Parenthood also stars Craig T. Nelson (Coach), Monica Potter (Boston Legal), Ray Romano (Everybody Loves Raymond), Mae Whitman (The Duff) and Miles Heizer (ER).

TV Land is getting into the late night game with a series pickup for Throwing Shade, the hit podcast and Funny Or Die video series, with a 10-episode order, slated to premiere in January 2017 in the 11pm ET/PT timeslot. The political and pop culture late night show, which will have a live audience, stars Erin Gibson (Parks and Recreation, Kroll Show) and Bryan Safi (Modern Family, Superstore) as themselves and will bring their unique perspective to the hottest topics of today, from feminism and gay rights to the latest celebrity nonsense. Creators Gibson and Safi launched Throwing Shade as a podcast in 2011, a yearly, multi-city, sold-out touring stage show in 2012, and in 2013, Funny Or Die picked it up for a video series. The TV Land show will be executive produced by Gibson and Safi, as well as Funny Or Die's Andrew Steele, Anna Wenger and Joe Farrell, and Charlie Siskel (Review, Tosh.0) will executive produce and serve as showrunner.

Throwing Shade is the latest in a series of projects that are reinventing TV Land into a destination for contemporary, fresh original programming. The network recently announced a pilot script order for a TV anthology series based on the 1989 cult film Heathers, and pilot orders for a comedy called Nobodies, from executive producers Melissa McCarthy and Ben Falcone, an adaptation of The First Wives Club from Sex and the City's Jenny Bicks and New Girl's Rebecca Addelman, and an untitled project based on the real life of Kyle Richards (The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills) from multiple Emmy(R) Award-winners John Wells (Shameless, The West Wing) and John Riggi (30 Rock).

UP TV, the network dedicated to providing engaging entertainment for and about families, announced today it has licensed the off-network rights to seasons 20-25 of the iconic family series America's Funniest Home Videos, the show that invented the viral video, providing viewers with hysterical moments and real life blunders that fly by at a dizzying pace. America's Funniest Home Videos made its UP premiere with a marathon on Saturday, April 9 (aired 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. EDT). Episodes also aired on Sunday, April 10 from 1 to 6 p.m. EDT and now it appears throughout UP's daily schedule. The new series represents a major addition to UP's already robust collection of original and popular hit family series, which includes Bringing Up Bates, Gilmore Girls, Supernanny, Growing Pains, The Parkers and more. UP has licensed 138 episodes of America's Funniest Home Videos in an agreement with the Disney/ABC Television Group.

Seasons 20-25 of AFV were hosted by Tom Bergeron, who is now the long-time host of Dancing with the Stars. America's Funniest Home Videos is the longest-running primetime entertainment show in the history of ABC. The show has become an iconic part of American pop culture, as evidenced by its entry into the Smithsonian’s permanent entertainment collection. Currently in its 26th season on ABC, America's Funniest Home Videos has given away over $14 million in prize money to date and evaluated more than a million video clips from home viewers. The show is produced by Vin Di Bona Productions. Vin Di Bona and Michele Nasraway serve as executive producers.
