HBO Renews Comedies The Chair Company and I Love LA; Kelly and Mark to Host International Emmy® Awards

The acclaimed HBO Original comedy series The Chair Company and I Love LA have been renewed for second seasons. The Chair Company follows a man (Tim Robinson) who, after an embarrassing incident at work, finds himself investigating a far-reaching conspiracy. Season 1 stars Tim Robinson as William Ronald Trosper, Lake Bell as Barb Trosper, Sophia Lillis as Natalie Trosper, Will Price as Seth Trosper, and Joseph Tudisco as Mike Santini. Lou Diamond Phillips recurs as Jeff Levjman.

I Love LA follows an ambitious friend group navigating life and love in LA. Season 1 stars Rachel Sennott as Maia, Jordan Firstman as Charlie, Josh Hutcherson as Dylan, Odessa A’zion as Tallulah, and True Whitaker as Alani. Guest stars include Leighton Meester, Moses Ingram, Ayo Edebiri, Lauren Holt, Elijah Wood, Quenlin Blackwell, Josh Brener, Tim Baltz, Froy Gutierrez, and Colin Woodell. I Love LA is created and executive produced by Rachel Sennott.

The International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences announced that Live with Kelly and Mark co-hosts Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos will host the International Emmy® Awards, on Monday, November 24, 2025, in New York City. Over 1000 international media and entertainment executives convene in New York each year for the International Emmy® Awards Gala and International Emmy® World Television Festival.

In addition to the presentation of Emmy® Awards for programming, the Academy will present two Special awards, the International Emmy® Directorate to João Roberto Marinho, President of Grupo Globo, and Founders Award to Dana Walden, Co-Chairman of Disney Entertainment. This year's Gala partners are Ay Yapim, CJ ENM, Dubai Studios, Ernst & Young, Globo, Mediafellows, MIP, Plural, Sofitel New York, and Variety.

HBO Comedy The Chair Company; Trailer for Disney's Vampirina: Teenage Vampire

The HBO Original comedy series The Chair Company, created by Tim Robinson and Zach Kanin, will debut Sunday, October 12 at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT on HBO and will be available to stream on HBO Max. New episodes of the eight-episode season will debut weekly leading up to the season finale on Sunday, November 30.

After an embarrassing incident at work, a man (Robinson) finds himself investigating a far-reaching conspiracy. In addition to Tim Robinson as William Ronald Trosper, series regulars include Lake Bell as Barb Trosper, Sophia Lillis as Natalie Trosper, Will Price as Seth Trosper, and Joseph Tudisco as Mike Santini. Lou Diamond Phillips recurs as Jeff Levjman.

Disney Branded Television revealed the official trailer and poster for the upcoming original series Vampirina: Teenage Vampire. The music-driven series premieres on Disney Channel September 12, with all episodes streaming October 15 on Disney+ and Disney Channel On Demand.

Vampirina: Teenage Vampire tells the story of a tween vampire girl who leaves the safety of Transylvania to attend a performing arts boarding school. Living amongst humans for the first time, she pursues her passion for music while keeping her vampire identity a secret, something that’s made more challenging when her overprotective father charges an overzealous ghost to live with her at the school. Vampirina, or “Vee,” is an already beloved character from the popular book saga and the record-breaking Disney Jr. series. Vampirina: Teenage Vampire is the first live-action portrayal.

Cast: The main cast is completed by Kenzi Richardson as the edgy and adorable Vee; Jiwon Lee as Sophie, Vee’s kind and girly-girl roommate; Shaun Dixon as the intriguing and laid-back Elijah; Milo Maharlika as the 600-year-old ghost, Demi; and Faith Hedley as Britney, a super-talented legacy student. The recurring cast features Kate Reinders (High School Musical: The Musical: The Series) and Jeff Meacham (black-ish) as Vee’s loving vampire parents. Kim Coles (Living Single) is Dean Merriweather of Wilson Hall Academy of the Arts.

Guest Cast: Emmy® Award winner Mykal-Michelle Harris (mixed-ish, Raven's Home) as the delightful and dangerous Ruby, Jenna Davis (M3GAN) as magnetic classmate Megan, viral sensation Ariel Martin (aka Baby Ariel; ZOMBIES) as megacool popstar Millie Eyelash, and star of Wizards Beyond Waverly Place Janice LeAnn Brown as her character Billie in a mystical crossover episode.

ALF follows the adventures of Gordon Shumway, a wise-cracking alien from the planet Melmac who crash lands into the garage of the Tanner family. Created by Tom Patchett (The Carol Burnett Show) and Paul Fusco (Puppeteer & Voice of ALF), the popular sitcom is a staple of 1980's pop culture and has developed a cult following in the years since.

HBO has picked up the half-hour comedy, The Chair Company, starring, written and executive produced by Tim Robinson and written and executive produced by Zach Kanin.
