- Jeff Garlin has been fired from the ABC The Goldbergs, which leaves a lot of questions about how the series will explain his absence and proceed without him. (Entertainment Weekly)
- The Golden Palace, the spinoff of The Golden Girls, is heading to Hulu (but can we get Empty Nest and even Nurses too while we're at it?). (Deadline)

- Yet another reboot that we spent years talking about has been cancelled just a little over a month after premiering, and this time, it is HBO Max's Head of the Class. (Hollywood Reporter)
- In this week's "abrupt news we didn't see coming," Sony has cancelled Dr. Oz effective in mid-January, but he'll be replaced with a series hosted by his own daughter. (CNBC)
- American Dad! is the only former Fox animated series that isn't part of the FXX lineup, but it's still going strong for TBS and Adult Swim, as TBS has renewed it for two additional seasons (beyond the 17th season that begins in January). (Deadline)
