HIGHLIGHTS FROM SITCOMSONLINE.COM AND AROUND THE WEB

  • Deadline has the fall lineup all summarized, including NBC's lineup that is completely devoid of sitcoms. (Deadline)
  • We're surprised to see that a network in 2021 is airing a new Christmas movie reboot (or however it is best described) of The Waltons, but even more surprised to see that network is The CW. (Hollywood Reporter)
  • The long-awaited Friends reunion finally landed on HBO Max, but it didn't exactly impress people. (NPR)
  • Amazon has officially announced that they will be buying MGM. (CNBC)
  • The CGI reboot of Rugrats has landed on Paramount Plus, and it seems that Phil and Lil's mom is a lesbian, a departure from the original series. (Newsweek)
  • It looks like Kelly Clarkson is poised to be the unofficial consensus replacement for Ellen DeGeneres on many TV stations (specifically the NBC owned ones). (Hollywood Reporter)
  • Although they're not quite the Mark Goodson/Bill Todman caliber of game show reboots that ABC airs during the summer, NBC is having their own summer fun with game shows too. (SitcomsOnline)

  • Fox has Monday night "Animation Domination," at least for the 9 PM hour, starting Monday with the new series HouseBroken and new episodes of Duncanville.
  • It's a binge of The Rookies on Decades this weekend.
  • America's Got Talent returns Tuesday night on NBC.

Krapopolis - "Basket Baby" (Fox, 9:00PM ET/PT)
A baby arrives in a basket; Deliria encroaches on Apollo's turf; Tyrannis throws a potluck.

Bob's Burgers - "The Twinnening" (Fox, 9:30PM ET/PT)
Teddy takes a handyman job next door to the restaurant and finds himself trapped inside a store full of spooky antiques.

DMV - "Pilot" (CBS, 10:30PM ET/PT) (Repeat)
East Hollywood Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) driving examiner Colette pines for her coworker Noa while enduring teasing from colleagues Gregg, Vic and Ceci. Also, new manager Barb rallies the crew to save their branch from government shutdown.

Tulip's sister comes home from college and is jealous of Tulip's bond with Jade; Posey deals with a little incident of her own.

Electric Bloom - "How We Defeated a Jingle Bell Bully" (Disney Channel, 8:30PM ET/PT)
To help Tulip rediscover her love of Christmas, Electric Bloom is forced to team up with their sworn enemies, The Two Shellys, to try and win the Holiday Sing-Off.
