SitcomsOnline Digest: Who's the Boss? in Line for a Reboot; Love, Victor Renewed for Season Two

Welcome to SitcomsOnline Digest! This week, we're learning of a new Peacock comedy with Damon Wayans Jr., hearing of some conflicts on the set of Ellen DeGeneres' talk show that could bring the show to an end, and more. Let's get going!

HIGHLIGHTS FROM SITCOMSONLINE.COM AND AROUND THE WEB
  • Who's the Boss? is next in line for a reboot, with Tony Danza and Alyssa Milano on board so far. (CNN)
  • Love, Victor has been renewed for a second season on Hulu. (Variety)
  • There will be a Friends reunion for HBO Max, eventually, but it has been delayed yet again. (Deadline)
  • It seems a little surprising given that the off-network run that was attempted on basic cable a few years ago wasn't particularly successful, but Lionsgate is now looking to offer Weeds for syndication. (Deadline)
  • The game show $100,000 Pyramid is headed back into production by the end of the month. (Deadline)
  • You know that a show MUST be bad if it airs on The CW on a Sunday night, and gets canceled after just one episode, and that's just what happened with the British game show Taskmaster. (SitcomsOnline)

WEEKLY PLANNER (AUGUST 8 - AUGUST 14)

  • Decades has a binge of Rhoda this weekend.
  • Antenna TV has a day of vacation themed episodes tomorrow.
