We've made it to the last week of August and it already feels like fall in some places, which means that an exciting new fall TV season is coming (or it could be a bust, who knows?). It's a slow news week, but we've got news of a new series under development at NBC, a Dancing with the Stars contestant that even the host publicly disapproves of, and more. Let's get going!

- NBC has been interested in creating series based upon movies from decades ago lately, and this now under consideration is a series based upon the 2001 movie Serendipity. (Deadline)
- Former White House press secretary Sean Spicer is going to be on Dancing with the Stars, but it probably isn't going to be a good experience for him since even the host of the show, Tom Bergeron, has chosen to publicly speak out against including him. (BuzzFeed News)
- Netflix has ordered a new series called The Brews Brothers, a comedy about two estranged brothers who come together again to start their own brewery. (Variety)
- Antenna TV has acquired several new series that will begin airing in January, including Diff'rent Strokes and Who's the Boss? (coming fall 2020). (SitcomsOnline)
