SitcomsOnline Digest: ABC Orders Script for Designing Women Reboot; James Marsden and Ed Asner Cast in Netflix Series

Welcome to SitcomsOnline Digest! We are heading into the final week of "summer TV" as the big kickoff for the fall season comes up in a little over a week, and we've got plenty of reboot news (surprised?), news of Ed Asner being cast in a Netflix series, and more. Let's get going!

  • COZI TV is bringing The Office to their lineup in January. (SitcomsOnline)

HOME MEDIA RELEASES (SEPTEMBER 18)

WEEKLY PLANNER (SEPTEMBER 15 - SEPTEMBER 21)
  • WGN America has a weekend marathon of Married... with Children that runs most of the weekend (with a break overnight), leading up to the addition of the series to the regular lineup next week.
  • You can catch 84 episodes of Get Smart this weekend on The Binge on Decades.
  • The 2018 Emmy Awards will air Monday (not Sunday) on NBC, with hosts Michael Che and Colin Jost.
