SitcomsOnline Digest: Emmy Nominations Announced; New Carol Burnett Show DVDs
HIGHLIGHTS FROM SITCOMSONLINE.COM AND AROUND THE WEB
- Emmy nominations were announced this week, and we've got the lists for all of the major award nominees. (SitcomsOnline)
- Deadline also breaks down the number of Emmy nominations by series, where Game of Thrones clearly got the most nominations. (Deadline)
- With the Miss USA Pageant airing on Reelz instead of a major network, it had the smallest audience ever, although the small audience was a huge deal for Reelz. (Deadline)
- We've entered an era where every week (it seems), something else gets canned due to some sort of controversy, and this week, it is TLC's reality series 19 Kids and Counting. (CNN Money)
- It was only a matter of time before Cozi added Simon & Simon to the lineup (given that they air many of the other big action series from the Universal library), and that time will come in August. Baywatch will also join the lineup. (SitcomsOnline)
HOME MEDIA HIGHLIGHTS

- Time-Life has announced their next release for The Carol Burnett Show, which will be The Carol Burnett Show - The Lost Episodes, and it is going to be another huge set, with 22 discs covering the first five seasons of the series.
- San Diego Comic Con was last week, and Shout! announced the release of some very rare (and short-lived) 80s series, including Manimal and Automan.
