Summer Week 3 Sitcom Ratings; Coming Week Preview

Summer is in session and it's repeats galore mainly for sitcoms. We will be back with our normal weekly report with the first four nights numbers and analysis in the fall, but we still will have our regular how the sitcoms did all summer long, along with a coming week preview! Here are our summer ratings:

Last Sunday Sitcoms (counts for week of June 7-June 13)
  • 'Til Death (Fox) - Only 2.07 million and a 0.8 18-49 rating for an all-new episode...series finale tonight.
  • Sons of Tucson (Fox) - Did even worse than the lead-in with 1.94 million and only a 0.8 18-49 rating for an all-new episode of this canceled series.
  • The Simpsons (Fox) - A repeat did 4.00 million and a 1.8 18-49 rating. Up from last week. Decent.
  • The Cleveland Show (Fox) - 3.82 million and a 1.7 18-49 rating for a repeat, nice holds from the lead-in.
  • Family Guy (Fox) - A repeat did 4.49 million and a 2.1 18-49 rating. Very good 18-49 rating for a repeat in the summer.
  • American Dad! (Fox) - 3.96 million and a 1.7 18-49 rating for a repeat, much better retention than it normally does when it is all-new.

Summer Week 3 (June 14-20)

Monday Sitcoms
  • How I Met Your Mother (CBS) - 5.37 million and a 1.7 18-49 rating for a repeat. Up a bit from last week.
  • Rules of Engagement (CBS) - 5.94 million and a 1.7 18-49 rating for a repeat airing. Built from the lead-in again and up a bit from previous week.
  • Two and a Half Men (CBS) - 9.21 million and a 2.4 18-49 rating for a repeat is excellent for a repeat...but down from previous week.
  • The Big Bang Theory (CBS) - 8.88 million and a 2.6 18-49 rating for a repeat. Built from the lead-in in 18-49 again, but down some from previous week.
Tuesday Sitcoms
  • None.
Wednesday Sitcoms
  • Rules of Engagement (CBS) - A repeat aired after a TV's Greatest Surprises special and did 4.3 million and 1.2 18-49 rating.
  • The Middle (ABC) 2 airings - The 8pm repeat did 3.47 million and a 0.8 18-49 rating, but the 8:30pm repeat built on that and did 3.83 million and a 1.1 18-49 rating. Both down from last week.
  • Modern Family (ABC) - A repeat at 9pm did 4.37 million and a 1.5 18-49 rating. Both down from last week but nice 18-49 rating for a summer repeat, especially for a live action comedy.
  • Cougar Town (ABC) - A summer repeat did 3.20 million and a 1.0 18-49 rating. Could be better given the lead-in.
Thursday Sitcoms
  • Community (NBC) - A repeat only did 2.45 million and a 0.8 18-49 rating. Lower even than previous week.
  • 100 Questions (NBC) - The third episode did 1.97 million and a 0.6 18-49 rating. Ouch again. Down from previous week and series lows.
  • The Office (NBC) 2 airings - The regular 9pm edition repeat did only 2.47 million and a 1.0 18-49 rating, building from the lead-in. A 10pm repeat did 2.05 million and a 0.9 18-49 rating. This show doesn't seem to repeat as well anymore.
  • 30 Rock (NBC) -Airing at 9:30pm, a repeat did 2.34 million and a 1.0 18-49 rating, holding steady from its lead-in but down from last week.
  • Parks and Recreation (NBC) - A 10:30pm repeat didn't do well, doing only 1.85 million and a 0.7 18-49 rating. Still better than 100 Questions.
