Fox will kick-off the Fall season week of August 25. Coming in mid-season are new series: drama Dollhouse (January, Mondays at 8), reality series Secret Millionaire (January, Thursdays at 9), animated comedies Sit Down, Shutup (March, Sundays 8:30) & The Cleveland Show (March, Sundays 9:30).
To recap, Fox will launch one new drama (Fringe) and one new comedy (Do Not Disturb) in the fall. One new drama (Dollhouse), two animated comedies (Sit Down, Shutup & The Cleveland Show) and one new reality series (Secret Millionaire) will launch in mid-season.
One additional comedy will be announced later for mid-season.
Discuss Fox's 2008-09 line-up here. You'll find the official press release there, too...with more detailed information.
5:30PM UPDATE: As with ABC, I got to see the actual Fox upfront presentation. Didn't get to see CBS or The CW. Here is an outline of what happened at Fox's upfront presentation. They could have another drama or two it seems for mid-season, but they haven't completed production yet. Lie to Me (from the people who made 24) or Courtroom K (from the people who made House) are the top contenders, as crew interview clips were shown at upfront. They haven't decided yet what comedy will air post-Idol next season, but it seems Outnumbered or Boldly Going Nowhere are the best bets. Outnumbered clips were shown, it seems like the new Fox Malcolm in the Middle. And I have to say how eerie similar Fringe seems to be of Lost. Same creator (J.J. Abrams), same type of premise (airplane), except they are not on an island, you see a cow come out of nowhere (we saw cows in the jungle on Lost), and what...Lance Reddick is in it (the mysterious Matthew Abaddon on Lost)?? Hmm...a connection?
