Three NYC Locals Schedule Change; Friday Series Premieres
WNYW
12:00PM Inside Edition (replaces A Current Affair)
12:30PM A Current Affair (replacing Judge Hatchett third run)
1:30AM Inside Edition (replaces Just Shoot Me)
NOTES: WNYW will air Inside Edition twice and will cut down Judge Hatchett from three airings to two airings. Just Shoot Me's weekday airings will go to sister station WWOR. Inside Edition comes from WPIX. Inside Edition is expected to move to 4 p.m. late next month when the new Geraldo show replaces A Current Affair.
WWOR
12:30AM Just Shoot Me (replaces Fear Factor second run)
1:00AM King of the Hill (replaces Fear Factor cont. second run)
NOTES: Just Shoot Me comes from sister net WNYW and a second King of the Hill has been added at 1 a.m., with it still airing at 1:30 a.m., too. Fear Factor will now only air at 10 a.m. on WWOR, with no second run.
WPIX
2:30AM The Jeffersons (replaces originally scheduled Blind Date)
3:00AM The Jeffersons (replaces originally scheduled Elimi-date)
3:30AM WB11 News at Ten encore (replaces originally scheduled Jeffersons)
4:00AM Blind Date (replaces originally scheduled WB11 News at Ten encore)
4:30AM Elimi-date (replaces Inside Edition)
NOTES: This is the best news. Now insead of just one airing of The Jeffersons, we get two! And not to mention, a bit earlier, too! This is the main reason I posted this schedule change.
Moving on to the Friday network series premieres last night. I'll just quickly mention that two of them did decent while two of them did bad. CBS's Ghost Whisperer and NBC's Three Wishes did decent and won their respectable hours, though Ghost didn't put near the numbers they were hoping for. Joan of Arcadia's series premiere two years ago was much higher rated. It was not so good news for NBC's Inconceivable and FOX's Killer Instinct. CBS's Threshold put up numbers like last week, so it just did average. As for The WB's comedy block, a sixth place finish, ouch. UPN's Friday move for Smackdown is clearly hurting the comedies for The WB.
The two new series that did decent will have to be watched to see if they do well next week, and I don't expect the two that did bad to stick around for long.
