Watching television shows has changed in the last few years, with most primetime series being watched not on TV, but on other devices (streaming services, network websites, etc). Viewers now like to binge a few episodes in a row and watch on their own time. This has become even more apparent this season. After 35 days of viewing across linear (TV, DVR, VOD) and digital platforms (Hulu, abc.com, etc), the series debut of ABC's The Wonder Years catapulted to a 2.56 rating among Adults 18-49, growing by nearly 4 times over its initial Live+Same Day television only rating and representing a +282% jump (0.67 rating to 2.56 rating). The Wonder Years soared to 8.0 million Total Viewers after 35 days of multiplatform viewing, marking an increase of +4.8 million viewers and a lift of +150% over its Live+Same Day television average (3.2 million to 8.0 million). With a 2.56 rating in delayed multiplatform viewing, the new comedy stood as ABC's highest-rated telecast of Premiere Week 2021-22 in Adults 18-49. The Wonder Years marked ABC's strongest new comedy debut in two years in both Total Viewers (8.0 million) and Adults 18-49 (2.56 rating) - since mixed-ish in September 2019.
