New Year's Eve 2017 and New Year's Day 2018 TV Marathons
E! has a Parks and Recreation New Year's Eve marathon from 2am (late Saturday night) into 6am (early Monday morning). Decades Network has its weekend binge, with Diagnosis Murder this weekend on Saturday and New Year's Eve. FXX will bring us another marathon of The Simpsons that starts on New Year's Eve at 6pm and runs through New Year's Day at 11:59pm. IFC will turn it over to comedy with a Three Stooges marathon on New Year's Eve running from 6am-8pm. Then on New Year's Day, IFC will have a Two and a Half Men marathon from 12am-12am. Comedy Central rings in the new year with Chappelle's Show on New Year's Day starting at 9am with all 28 episodes. USA Network has a Law & Order: SVU Resolve to Watch New Year's Eve and Day marathon starting at 9am New Year's Eve through 8pm on New Year's Day. Syfy has its annual Twilight Zone New Year's Eve and Day marathon that starts at 4am New Year's Eve continuing through Tuesday, Jan. 2 at 4am. ASPiRE will have an In Living Color New Year's Eve marathon from 12pm-1am and on New Year's Day from 6pm-1am.
Some others include: Family Feud marathon on New Year's Day from 2-10pm. ION Television will also have a New Year's Day marathon of Criminal Minds from 10am-2am. WE tv has crime dramas on both days, with CSI: Miami, Criminal Minds and Monk airing. AMC has a Breaking Bad marathon on New Year's Eve and Day, both days from 2pm-1am. Viceland will air a marathon of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia on New Year's Day from 8am-5am. Movie franchises marathons include The Hunger Games and The Hobbit on TNT on New Year's Eve Day, respectively and Smokey and the Bandit movies on CMT New Year's Day. BBC America will air Titanic on New Year's Eve, which is celebrating its 20th anniversary. TBS will air the movie New Year's Eve on New Year's Eve at 8pm, but earlier in the day there are marathons of The Detour from 10am-4pm and Family Guy from 4-8pm. Reality wise, E! has a Keeping Up with the Kardashians marathon on New Year's Day beginning at 6am, while WGN America has a Cops New Year's Eve marathon from 11am-7pm.
Other notable TV marathons and specials include ABC's Dick Clark's Primetime New Year's Rockin' Eve With Ryan Seacrest 2018 special on New Year's Eve from 8pm-10pm, followed by its annual specials at 10pm and 11:30pm. Movie wise, Pop, TNT, TBS, Freeform and many others will air movies on New Year's Day, while Hallmark Channel continues to air Christmas movies on New Year's Eve. Tune in Sunday and Monday for all of this!
