The Facts of Life Coming to Logo; New Bounce TV Sitcom Mann & Wife Premieres Tonight
The Facts of Life is coming to Logo. The Viacom cable network will air the series starting this Saturday (April 11). For now the '80s sitcom will air Saturday mornings from 6-10am. Also returning to the line-up is the '70s classic Maude, which has never really aired regularly. It aired in various stunts along with fellow '70s comedy Soap. The Bea Arthur sitcom will now air once a week in a marathon block on Friday nights (or Saturday afternoons, check local listings). The Facts of Life and Maude join a line-up of various sitcoms from all eras including Who's the Boss?, Designing Women, Bewitched, I Dream of Jeannie, Roseanne, The Golden Girls, Will & Grace and Sabrina The Teenage Witch. They have aired other series like Samantha Who, Just Shoot Me!, Happy Endings and Don't Trust the B in Apartment 23, but as of now all of those aren't airing. Of course The Facts of Life starred Charlotte Rae, Lisa Whelchel, Kim Fields, Mindy Cohn and Nancy McKeon. Perhaps the show will eventually be expanded and air multiple times a week like their other sitcoms? Only time will tell. Stay with us for continued updates.
Real-life husband and wife team David Mann (House of Payne, Meet The Browns) and Tamela Mann (Madea's Big Happy Family, Sparkle) are reuniting on screen, as well as behind-the-scenes as executive producers, with the debut of their new family-friendly original sitcom Mann & Wife premiering on Bounce TV tonight (Tuesday, April 7) at 9pm ET/8 CT. In Mann & Wife, the devoted couple draws inspiration from their real lives to play newlyweds Daniel and Toni Mann. The series follows the second-chance sweethearts as they laugh and love their way through the ups and downs of life as a blended family, each with two children from previous marriages.
Life as they know it is turned inside out when Daniel, a police officer from Atlanta, and Toni, a school teacher from Dallas, meet on a dating site and fall in love. When they decide to marry and Toni moves into Daniel's house in the Atlanta suburbs, the honeymooners -- along with their kids, two from each side -- all have to adjust to their new lives together. They also have to deal with David's overbearing live-in mother and his jet-setting ex-wife. In addition to the show's popular stars, Mann & Wife features a vibrant supporting cast: Vivica A. Fox (Sharknado 2), portraying Daniel's ex-wife; Tony Rock (All of Us), playing Daniel's new partner; JoMarie Payton (Family Matters) as Lorraine, Daniel's overbearing mother and Tiny Lister (Friday) as Daniel's Sergeant and boss.
