Hallmark Brings Back I Love Lucy...Again and Dumps Martha; ION Television Quietly Removes The Guard

Lucyyyyyyyyyyyyy! Hallmark Channel had some 'splaining to do when they removed I Love Lucy from the regular schedule, but now they are bringing it back! In a last minute schedule change, beginning Wednesday, April 28 (yes, tomorrow!), I Love Lucy returns to the schedule airing weekdays from 9am-12pm, replacing Martha Stewart programming an an hour of Touched by an Angel. The latter will still air weeknights at 8pm, while Martha Stewart programming is off of the weekday schedule. Additionally, From Martha's Kitchen will now be the only Stewart program and it will air Saturdays from 6am-9am. So, From Martha's Garden and From Martha's Home is totally not airing now. And on Sunday mornings from 6am-9am, Stewart programming will be replaced by an hour of Little House on the Prairie and a two-hour movie.
I Love Lucy will start with the episode "The Girls Want to Go to a Nightclub" on Wednesday morning at 9am. And in more good I Love Lucy news, the previously scheduled marathon that we announced has now been extended! The marathon will still run this coming Sunday (May 2), but now from 6am-4am instead...yes 22 straight hours! Previously it was slated for 9am-4am. Good news indeed! But hopefully the weekday morning block lasts a while! Stay with us if anything changes...

ION Television has quietly removed The Guard from its Saturday night line-up. They have aired an extra movie the last 2 weeks (April 17 and 24) from 9-11pm. Effective this Saturday (May 1), ION will add two more airings of Ghost Whisperer on Saturdays airing from 9-11pm. Ghost Whisperer will also still air Saturdays at 11pm, which we announced almost two weeks ago.
Ratings for this Canadian import drama were not too good and ION only aired the first 10 episodes. The series has a total of 22 episodes. No word on if and when it will return, but it doesn't look good. Stay with us for any further updates.
