ABC Family January 2010; IFC Live: Arrested Development and Contest

This January on ABC Family, there won't be any regular schedule changes to daytime, but there will be original series on Monday nights. First off, there will be marathons to ring in the new year! On Friday, January 1, 2010 from 3pm-11pm a marathon of America's Funniest Home Videos will air. On Saturday, January 2, 2010 from 9am-1pm, a short Full House marathon will lead-into movies. And on Sunday, January 3, 2010, ABC Family gets ready for the new season of The Secret Life of the American Teenager by airing a marathon from 7am-12am. The marathon continues the next day on Monday, January 4, 2010 from 11am-8pm, leading into the return of The Secret Life of the American Teenager at 8pm. The return of Make It or Break It follows at 9pm. Make It or Break It will get a marathon the following week on Monday, January 11, 2010 from 11am-8pm. And as we mentioned, Greek returns on Monday, January 25, 2010 airing at 10pm following both dramas.
Other January 2010 highlights include, 8 Simple Rules returning to weekends starting Jan. 16 after a hiatus because of the holidays, but it won't be airing on some days due to movies or extra Full House. The generic schedule for 8 Simple Rules is Saturdays 10-11am and Sundays 11am-12pm, as it was in October. The week of Jan. 18 and 25 from 9am-11am will have the annual The 700 Club Special Programming. And on Sunday, January 31, 2010 from 12pm-12am, it is a special all-day 700 Club event. Movie premieres are What A Girl Wants on Thursday, Jan. 7, 2010 at 7:30pm and the ABC Family Original Movie Premiere Event Bring It On: Fight to the Finish on Sunday, Jan. 17 at 8pm. A marathon of the previous three films (Bring It On, Bring It On: In It to Win It, and Bring It On: All or Nothing) will lead-in from 2pm-8pm.

As we mentioned a few months ago, IFC has acquired Arrested Development reruns. And now they are offering fans a whole new interactive viewing experience with IFC Live: Arrested Development.
Every Tuesday night at 9:00 p.m. ET, fans can join IFC's Matt Singer and each other online at IFC.com for live streaming and chatting while watching two back-to-back episodes of the show on IFC.
Arrested Development fans can join the conversation at IFC Live: Arrested Development using either an existing Ustream or Twitter account, or easily register for a new account. Fans can also e-mail IFC directly to ask questions, give suggestions, comments or topic ideas at ifclive@ifc.com.
They are also having the IFC Arrested Development & Automat Sweepstakes which will give three lucky winners the Arrested Development Complete Series DVD Set, and 200 runner-up winners will receive an Automat t-shirt. The contest runs through Tuesday, December 8, 2009.
Enter the contest and read the rules.
Back-to-back episodes of Arrested Development air every Sunday night at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT on IFC, with encore showings every Tuesday at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT as the lead in to the network's Automat programming block, which coincides with IFC Live: Arrested Development.
