SitcomsOnline Digest: Young Sheldon Gets Two Year Renewal; Warner Archive Wraps Up DVD Releases of Alice and The Wayans Bros.
- The Big Bang Theory may be ending, but Young Sheldon isn't going anywhere anytime soon, as it has been renewed for two seasons. (Entertainment Weekly)
- With Jusie Smollett accused of pulling off a publicity stunt that has backfired spectacularly and made everybody turn against him, his character will be removed from some of the remaining episodes of Empire for this season. (Variety)

- David Horowitz, the consumer advocate who often appeared on sitcoms (including ALF and Silver Spoons) in that same role, has died at age 81. (Deadline)
- Mindy Kaling has worked with NBC Universal for almost all of her career, but now she is making a move over to Warner Bros. to develop, write, and produce new series. (Variety)
- Peter Tork, one of The Monkees, has died at age 77. (NPR)
