Week 9 TV Ratings and Analysis; How the Sitcoms Did

2016-17 Week 9 TV Ratings (first four nights Mon-Thu): 

Households: #1. NBC 5.45/9 rating/share (+17% in rating from first four nights week 8); #2. CBS  5.23/9 (+14%); #3. ABC 4.15/7 (-8%); #4. Fox 2.47/4 (-2%); #5. The CW 1.06/2 (+19%).
Total Viewers: #1. NBC 8.804 million (+15% from first four nights week 8); #2. CBS 8.234 million (+12%); #3. ABC 6.413 million (-10%); #4. Fox 3.938 million (-3%); #5. The CW 1.697 million (+19%).
Adults 18-49: #1. NBC 2.26/8 rating/share (+8% in rating from first four nights week 8); #2. ABC 1.48/5 (-14%); #3. CBS 1.41/5 (-16%); #4. Fox 1.25/4 (even); #5. The CW 0.60/2 (+28%)

We have previous week's final ratings, Week 8 (11/7/16-11/13/16, LIVE+SD). NBC won the week in A18-49, boosted by SNF, and did a 2.43 rating.  Fox was #2 with a 1.78 rating powered by an NFL overrun. CBS was #3 with a 1.49 rating, while ABC did a 1.45 rating.  Among total viewers, NBC was #1 with 8.439 million, with CBS #2 at 8.008 million.  ABC was #3 with 6.012 million and Fox at #4 with 5.478 million.

For season to-date (9/19/16-11/17/16, LIVE+SD), NBC is back now #1 in A18-49 with a 2.14 rating, followed by Fox at #2 with a 2.13 rating, which is heavily inflated by a high 7-game World Series. CBS is  #3 with a 1.73 rating and ABC at #4 with a 1.40 rating. Among total viewers it is CBS #1 at 9.016 million, followed by NBC at #2 with 7.791 million, World Series boosted Fox still at #3 with 6.995 million and ABC at #4 with 5.868 million.

Downward Dog - "Getting What You Always Wanted" (ABC, 10:00PM ET/PT)
Nan’s long-anticipated national campaign is hours away from launching in Times Square on the Jumbotron, when an overwrought Nan discovers an algorithm has been flipped, and instead of blocking penis photos from the photo feed it will choose them, which could torpedo the whole campaign. Meanwhile, Martin decides to reduce Nan’s stress by taking out his sworn enemy, Pepper, to unexpected results.

Downward Dog - "Lost" (ABC, 10:30PM ET/PT)
To take a break from the pressures of a major decision at work and the mess she’s made of her life, Nan decides to take a vacation. On the way, she stops by her estranged father’s place in the country, hoping to say hi and go. Instead, she discovers he’s selling the family home. While Nan tries to pack up some childhood treasures, Dad takes Martin for a walk — but Martin, runs off into the woods, hoping to prove he’s wild and free like a wolf. Instead, he discovers he’s not a wolf – he’s a dog who’s lost.

The Mick - "The New Girl" (Fox, 9:00PM ET/PT) (Repeat)
When Mickey believes Ben’s school is discriminating against him, she stands up for her nephew. Meanwhile, Sabrina and Chip spend time with Alba and learn some surprising things about her.

Brooklyn Nine-Nine - "The Night Shift" (Fox, 9:30PM ET/PT) (Repeat)
As Jake struggles with his first case back at the precinct, he encounters Jess Day (NEW GIRL guest star Zooey Deschanel), who is visiting New York, and enlists her to help him find his suspect. Meanwhile, Holt researches ways to increase office morale and Amy tries to figure out why Rosa keeps taking such long breaks.

Wrecked - "Caiman" (TBS, 10:30PM ET/PT)
After something taints the water upstream, Florence and Karen hike into the jungle to find the source; the others debate whether they want the pirates to spoil ``Game of Thrones''; Steve strikes up an unlikely romance.
