TV Land announced that it has created a line of “Free Elka” t-shirts, mugs and other collectibles to celebrate the hit series and its cliffhanger season finale which aired at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT on Wednesday, August 18. In the season one finale, Betty White's character, Elka Ostrovsky gets booked into custody after the police find a hidden stash of valuables in her storm cellar. In the episode, viewers find out that Elka's deceased husband was a fence for the Cleveland mob and she has been sitting on these priceless items for years. The "Free Elka" line features the mug shot of White's character, Elka Ostrovsky, on the front of the shirt and the Hot in Cleveland logo on the back. The shirts, available in both women and men's styles, plus other collectibles are available via tvland.com .

“We really loved our Hot in Cleveland cliffhanger and wanted our fans to be able to have their own keepsake of this hilarious episode,” stated Larry W. Jones, president, TV Land. “The fans have been such an integral part of the success of the show so we wanted to give them a way to show their support of Hot in a whole new and tangible way.”

TV Land's Hot in Cleveland was the highest rated original scripted sitcom premiere in the history of cable when it premiered on June 16, 2010. The show continues to deliver high ratings for the channel.
