ABC Family Schedule Change; TV Land PRIME Begins Tonight; Winner of Nick at Nite's Fido Awards

ABC Family will make a schedule change starting next week (Monday, October 13). From 3-4pm back-to-back episodes of Full House will air weekdays instead of 8 Simple Rules. Full House used to air in this time period before 8 Simple Rules moved from 6-7pm to 3-4pm last month. As of now, 8 Simple Rules will be off the line-up totally, while Full House also will still air in its other weekday slot of 12-1pm.
ABC Family has listed the change as Oct. 13-31 only, but that doesn't mean it won't be in effect for November as well. ABC Family November will be announced soon and hopefully 8 Simple Rules is either back from 3-4pm or placed in another time period. We will certainly let you know! There are no other changes to the line-up starting October 13.

As a reminder, TV Land premieres its new TV Land PRIME block in primetime tonight. This is NOT your Father's TV Land. Beginning, tonight, October 6, 2008, the network launches TV Land PRIME, a new primetime programming destination designed to appeal to the attitudes, life stage and interests of people in their 40s and 50s, catering specifically to people in their mid-40s. Equipped with a new logo, color scheme and on-air graphics, as well as the premieres of the original series Myths & Legends and the hit sitcom 3rd Rock From The Sun, TV Land PRIME will air Monday through Friday, 9PM to Midnight ET/PT with programming that is entertaining, engaging and escapist. Moving forward, all of TV Land's original programming, including the return of hit franchises High School Reunion, She's Got The Look, and the original series The Cougar, contemporary television series acquisitions and movies will premiere solely in this daypart. Scrubs, Extreme Makeover: Home Edition and the Friday MovieLand block round out the TV Land PRIME schedule.

Last night Nick at Nite aired the 1st Annual Worldwide Fido Awards! And the winner was...a toilet-flushing, skateboarding bulldog named Gabe from Bellingham, Washington (bow) wowed the celebrity judges of Nick at Nite's First Annual Worldwide Fido Awards -- telecast on Sunday, October 5 at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT -- to fetch top dog honors. The champ triumphed over five other talented finalists, including a deep diving Labrador Retriever and a Schubert-humming Golden Retriever. All were revealed, showcased and saluted in the one-hour canine competition honoring the family dog, hosted by actor/comedian Fred Willard and judged by Kevin Nealon, Vivica A. Fox and dog trainer to the stars Tamar Geller.
